Excited for work to end today. Need to work on a presentation I have to give in front of ~150 people (our whole company). Close to burnout. Want to play Ocarina of time and/or Trails in the Sky FC this weekend. Considering starting the Re:Zero light novels. Anyone read it and would recommend it for a tired soul?
Corporate is asking us to provide a "fun" picture of ourselves for our company website. A decent amount of us have not. I mentioned to a buddy that, "life is just not fun right now". We proceeded to open up to each other about life and being in a constant state of being tired/stressed, undervalued at work, and cycles of deep depression. Then I come home with a few short hours to top off my childrens attention/emotional cups and my wifes attention/emotional cup before I have to get myself to bed and start it all over in the morning. Too be clear that is not a complaint. I might not be happy but I have true meaning in my life because of them. Anyways, the weekends are too short. Having picked up Ocarina of Time again and also starting up a site on Neocities has given me a small but nice dose of joy. You all have been too kind and I am not sure I have found a more positive and encouraging corner of the interwebs.
I got my site up and running to the point where I’m comfortable leaving it as it is. That’s not to say I don’t want to improve it, but the foundation is set. What has stood out most is that in under 12 hours of being live, my site has already received a great deal of encouragement.
Played some Ocarina of Time with the kids as the snow storm rolled in.
